Restrictions on use of materials
You may not change, copy, reproduce, republish, use, upload, download, post or distribute in any way any material from this Web site including code and software without the written permission of the editors at shift-this.com, Mobium Creative Group and the various authors of content, unless expressly permitted in the text of the Web site. You may not pass go. You may not collect $200. You may not even go out in public wearing white shoes after Labor Day.

When the text of the Web site allows, you may download and distribute those materials on the Web site to which the permission applies, but only for non-commercial purposes, and provided that you do not alter, modify or receive payment for the materials in any manner. As if there's anything in here worth getting money for. God knows we don't get any for this stuff.

If you would like to submit a letter to the editor, make a comment, contact an author, submit a topic or submit an article for publication, please use the form on our brainpik page. If you agree to publication, Shift-this.com reserves the right to edit for length, grammar and spelling. However, we will do our best to preserve the original's style and intent. We do not pay for any submissions and the author retains all copyrights for their original content.

Letters to the editor
Shift-this.com asks senders of letters to the editor to include a phone number so we can make an effort to verify their identity should we need to in connection with publication of a letter. We do not retain this information for any other purpose, nor do we sell, trade or otherwise disclose it to third parties.

"Send to a friend" feature
Shift-this.com offers a "send to a friend" feature, allowing site visitors to send e-mail to friends to inform them about an article they might be interested in reading. In order for this feature to function, we ask for e-mail addresses for the recipient (so we know who to mail the message to) and from the sender (so we can tell the recipient who sent the e-mail). We do not store or save these addresses and you will not receive e-mail or other communications from us as a result of having used this feature.

"Send to a friend" is a mail service that individual visitors to Shift-this.com make use of to send individual e-mails. While this tool cannot be used to send mass "spam" mailings, we have no control over how our visitors use it, and any e-mail sent through it originates with, and is the responsibility of, the sender, not Shift-this.com.

What we won't do
In the course of interacting with you, we may ask for your email address or other information. Rest assured that we'll never share this information with anyone else. Should you come across any links that take you out to the Web to other sites, be advised that we don't necessarily endorse all of the materials found on those other sites. Nothing we've pointed to contains ads for lusty co-eds and offshore tax shelters, but please always think before you link. It's a dangerous, lawyer-filled world out there.
